PTC expands partnership with Business College Athens

Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC), Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (MMCL), and Business College of Athens (BCA) held a ceremonial signing last March 21 at First Maritime Place formalizing a partnership to offer three BCA post-graduate studies at the Mapúa-PTC College of Maritime Education and Training (CMET) at its MMCL campus. The three Masteral Programs include the Master of Science (MSc) in Shipping Business, MSc in Marine Engineering Management, and MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The programs are recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) through the Trans-National Education–Inbound (TNE). The Masteral programs will be offered starting this August under AY 2023-2024.

BCA President and CEO Harris Daskalakis flew to the country to be part of the MOA signing. Joining him were PTC and MMCL executives.

Engr. Dodjie Maestrecampo, President and CEO of MMCL, opened the activity with a brief introduction. PTC CEO Gerardo Borromeo gave a message on the benefit of the MSc programs to the Philippine Maritime Industry, This was followed by Mr. Harris Daskalakis’ message on the unique partnership between BCA with MMCL and PTC. Mapúa University President and CEO, Dr. Reynaldo B. Vea, was among the event's special guests.

After the MOA Signing, the floor was opened for the Question-and-Answer portion where media and press attendees were given the opportunity to know more about the programs on offer.
